Bellagio a Favorite of the Vegas Hotels

Vegas Hotels
My most recent trip to Las Vegas was all about checking out the Vegas hotels. Three full days of walking through the hotels and casinos was still not enough; I left Vegas with plenty more to see and do for my next trip.

My favorite hotel would have to be the Bellagio. The first impression you get of this beautiful hotel is that infamous water show that goes on display out front. A person could stand there all day and never get tired of wondering how such magnificence was achieved, even conceived.

Once you enter the Bellagio hotel, there is so much to see and do. The lobby is grand, topped with blown-glass flowers. The room leading off from the lobby is decorated seasonally; when I visited it was fall and the room dazzled me with country elegance.

The hotel offers the O show and a beautiful art gallery as well. If you are going to Vegas, and aren't able to stay at this hotel, make sure you at least get a chance to walk through the lobby. It is well worth the trip.

One of the Marriott Hotels Changing for Families

Marriott Hotels
Marriott Hotels are certainly adaptable to an ever-changing world. A hotel in Orlando, Florida is changing it's name from Fairfield Inn Lake Buena Vista to Fairfield Inn & Suites.

There is more change going on in this hotel besides just the name. The new Fairfield Inn & Suites has become a more family-friendly hotel. Twenty eight suites are going to be designed with a Hawaiian theme, offering special amenities not usually found in a hotel.

The family suites offer a room with bunk beds, meant to sleep up to three children. The rooms offer plasmsa televisions with video games set up for the kids to play at. Best of all: a splash park for the kids to play in while the parents can lounge at the pool.

What could be better for a family vacation, especially when you realize how close this hotel is to all the major attractions in Orlando, for both kids and adults?

The Best of San Diego Hotels

San Diego Hotels
San Diego is a huge city, and has all different kinds of attractions that interest people from all over the country and all over the world. You can expect to find every type of lodging in San Diego, but if you are looking for one of those classic San Diego hotels that brings you back in time, here are a few that will suit your fancy.

The Hotel del Coronado may be my favorite in the San Diego area. It was built in 1988, a huge castle on a beautiful beach. To really get the feel of the antique modern, or modern antique, ask to stay in the historic section of the hotel. The newer parts are nice, but not much separates them from any other modern hotel in San Diego.

The US Grant was named after the man who was once president of our country. This hotel, like Hotel del Coronado, has plenty of history to boast of, and is in a great location. Right in the heart of downtown San Diego, you can pretty much find your way to awesome restaurants, bars, galleries, you name it. The only problem is that you might see the ugly side of the downtown, like the poor and homeless.

The Valencia is in La Jolla, a beautiful beach community in the San Diego area. This hotel is much smaller than the US Grant or the Hotel Del Coronado, but still invokes the culture of the surrounding area.

Staying In Cheap Hotels

Cheap HotelsFor those of us who can't stay at a Ritz Carlton every night, we need to be able to save a little money every once in a while. Travelling is already expensive enough; wouldn't you rather spend less on lodging and more on the things you wanted to travel for in the first place?

Hopefully you are going somewhere to actually see the destination. Therefore, there is nothing wrong with staying in cheap hotels, since you won't be spending that much time in the room anyhow.

Cheap hotels are great as long as they are kept clean and you feel safe staying there. If you feel uncomfortable after seeing your new neighbors, don't hesitate to go to the front desk and get your money back. The same goes for if you find your room smelly, messy, or unclean. These are all good reasons to get a refund in full.

If you are travelling and want to know if your hotel is going to work out, one thing you can do is ask a local. You can usually find out this way if the hotel has a bad reputation or is just in a bad part of town. You don't want to wake up in the morning with your car gone missing!

Paris Hilton: One Reason Not to Stay In Hilton Hotels

Hilton hotels
This may just be a prejudice of my generation, but when I think of Hilton hotels, I think of one thing, and that one thing deters me from staying there: Paris Hilton. I am sure I am not alone in this opinion, but I can't stand the idea of spending my own hard-earned money to contribute even further to that woman's fortune.

Paris Hilton represents everything that is foul in modern pop culture. She is sleazy and promotes minimal, if any, personal values. To come from a family with a name like Hilton, you would think Paris would have some class. She does not, and somehow, the Hilton family doesn't seem to mind while she slanders their name.

It would take a lot for me to stay in Hilton hotels.

Orlando Hotels For You and the Kids

Orlando hotels
Thinking of taking your kids on that promised vacation to Disney World this year? Plan ahead by perusing the huge variety of Orlando hotels that may suit your needs best.

If you are looking to stay close to Disney World, there are several Disney resorts that offer accommodations the kids will love. They are supposed to offer perks for everyone, so the grown-ups can have a little fun, too.

If you need a little break from the magical world of child land, there are some incredible hotels in the Orlando area that offer convenient access to the parks, and easy access to nightlife. The hotel shuttles can transport you between areas of shopping, and nightlife.

If you don't want to return to your hotel between destinations, there are lockers available in the parks and in other public places where you can change into night clothes and then hit the town.

Orlando is a hot city. It isn't just a place for the kids. Make sure you find a place that is right for you.

Best Western Hotels for NASCAR

Best Western Hotels
Best Western hotels are pretty nice, especially compared to the other hotels in it's price range. My experience with Best westerns has generally been relief; when I am on the road and in need of a place to say, I am happy to see a Best Western, knowing it is probably going to be a good experience.

NASCAR families and fans are also in luck, because Best Western is the official hotel chain for NASCAR. It provides customers with special privileges who are traveling for NASCAR-related causes. The hotel chain also supports and promotes the sport.

In the end, it is a win-win situation for everyone. The hotel chain promotes NASCAR and helps house it's traveling fans and drivers, and i8n turn, the loyal NASCAR supporters become valuable customers for the hotel chain.

A Problem With Hotel Reservations

hotel reservationsThere is a rather large advertising campaign that has been all over television commercials in which a certain company encourages the public to negotiate their own price for hotel rooms in a city of their choice.

Does anyone have a problem with the fact that you don't know which hotel you are paying to stay in until after you pay for the hotel reservations?

It might be four stars, but what part of town is it located in? Is it even anywhere near the attractions you came to see?

Sometimes what attracts us to a certain hotel is not just how many stars it has. I don't always care how many pools and spas a hotel has; I am not travelling to see the hotel, I am travelling to see the location.

I guess the moral of the story is not to be tricked into advertising. It might sound good at first, but it might be better to get what you really want. Besides, you never know how much you are really saving when you don't know which hotel it is and at what price their rooms usually go for.

How To Save On Las Vegas Hotels

Las Vegas hotels
A trip to Las Vegas can be a very expensive ordeal, even if you are only going for a weekend. You might be thinking that you don't like to gamble, or you know when to walk away. The truth is, those slots are hard to resist, and in the end the house always wins.

Gambling is really just one part of a big expensive Las Vegas pie. If you are looking to spend a little less money, there are a few sure ways to do it.

One of them is the obvious, book in advance. Duh. The other is to make your travel plans through an all-inclusive company like Priceline or Expedia. You can get your airfare and hotel lodging in a package deal that offers prices much lower than if you booked them separately.

Priceline has an end-of-the-year special going on right now for Vegas trips, too. If you reserve your hotel now through November 18 and travel before December 28, you can save a ton of money. Look around online if you haven't been there before yourself: the hotels are an attraction all on their own.
